Project Director (Ontario Transportation Group) Location: Markham, Whitby, Mississauga, or Toronto, Ontario. Responsibilities Lead the successful delivery of highway planning and design projects. Manage multidisciplinary teams for preliminary and detailed design of road and bridge projects as a Project Manager. Own all aspects of project management from proposal to closeout, including teams, subconsultants, budgets, schedule, quality, safety, and client satisfaction. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to intermediate and junior staff. Integrate with other engineering disciplines and design staff to produce highquality deliverables. Handle staff performance, workload, and support technical and professional development. Promote best practices and leadership in transportation projects. Support business development: capture planning, proposals, and client relationship enhancement. Apply expertise in corridor planning, highway and freeway design, green infrastructure strategies, intersection/interchange design, digital delivery, ITS solutions, highway and bridge rehabilitation/expansion, and roundabout design. Qualifications Postsecondary degree in Civil Engineering. Ontario P.Eng. designation required (or eligible). 15+ years of experience in planning and design of transportation infrastructure projects, including project management. Experience working with Ministry of Transportation of Ontario. Experience with other highway agencies and municipal transportation clients is an asset. Experience managing design projects in collaborative models such as Progressive DesignBuild, Alliance, or CMGC is an asset. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Proven track record of developing, mentoring, and leading professional technical staff.
