Role Summary The Commercial Category Manager is part of the Canadian Business unit of the North American regional procurement team based in Toronto, ON. The Category Manager will be responsible for the procurement needs of the Labatt Sales & Marketing groups based in our Canadian Sales Offices, Commercial Strategy office in New York, NY, and St.Louis. The role will manage project management, analytics, negotiations and implementation of regional strategy for key Sponsorships, Agency, and Trade Marketing partnerships. The Category Manager is expected to deliver financial efficiencies, cash flow, Marketing and Sales category strategy, global alignment and other requirements for Labatt and its internal stakeholders. Responsibilities Manage and strategically execute category spend in excess of $100MM annually, ensuring legal, quality, timing and brand image are maintained. Negotiate, implement, contract and manage commercial sponsorship agreements for the U.S. and Canada. Oversee the ABI Procurement contractual and business relationship with sports, entertainment and agency partners, in close collaboration with ABI Marketing & Sales teams in NewYork and Toronto. Coordinate category initiatives across internal stakeholder groups, backoffice operations, senior management, legal, global procurement office and others. Champion the ABInBev Way of purchasing, supporting the use and development of standard procurement practices and procedures and strategic sourcing principles. Manage vendor relationships and measure performance of key suppliers, rationalize vendor base and oversee all supplier selection to align with stakeholders and corporate objectives within the Commercial and POCM space. Qualifications University degree required. Minimum of 5years experience in a business environment. Strong business acumen. Experience working with multiple customer groups, stakeholders and a crossfunctional team environment. Excellent negotiating and communication skills. Experience managing and motivating people. Ability to build and leverage relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
