Job Description

Position Summary A joint venture partnership is seeking an experienced Project Director (Construction) to join the team on a contract basis during the pursuit phase of a complex multiphase renovation & redevelopment project of a major aviation complex in Ontario, Canada. The successful candidate will transition to a fulltime position upon project award in March 2026 to lead the overall project execution phase. This leadership role is critical to the success of the bid and execution strategy. The Project Director will oversee planning, stakeholder engagement, and execution readiness for one of Canadas largest and most complex airport infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities Lead overall project strategy, execution planning, and pursuit activities for the $1.5B expansion Provide leadership and direction to pursuit teams, ensuring alignment with JV objectives Collaborate with design, engineering, and construction teams to develop innovative, costeffective solutions Engage with airport authorities, consultants, and stakeholders to ensure compliance with live airport operations Oversee risk management, scheduling, and resource planning during pursuit and execution phases Transition seamlessly into project delivery leadership upon award, managing construction execution Ensure safety, quality, and operational continuity in an active airport environment Logistics Project Size: $1.5B Site Timelines: 3 to 5 years Communication Stakeholders: 75% internal: 25% external Profile Requirements Character, Experience, Intelligence, Coachable (in this order) Character: Will, Want, Desire, SelfAwareness, Accountability, Integrity Experience Pursuit / Influence / Close capabilities Presentation experience (your talent will equate to winning the business) Mandatory: At least 5 years experience in airport construction projects (active, live airport environments) Minimum 15+ years of progressive leadership in largescale infrastructure projects Strong track record in managing projects exceeding $500M in value Demonstrated ability to lead joint ventures and multidisciplinary teams Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills Professional Engineering designation or PMP certification considered an asset Coachable: Youll be learning new things What Makes This Opportunity Special Familyoriented organization where you can build a career and a family Hard work, performance and sacrifice are well rewarded You will be closing and delivering on the largest project in company history Youll have the ear of senior leadership Legacy opportunity to be involved in one of the highest profile aviation projects in North America Seniority Level Director Employment Type Fulltime Job Function Project Management and Management Industries Construction and Building Construction #J-18808-Ljbffr
