Improve manufacturing equipment and processes using your knowledge of manufacturing principles and practices. Utilize continuous improvement tools to enhance work efficiency and quality. Follow Cummins standards and lead the development of manufacturing standards and working methods. Communicate effectively with and influence key external stakeholders, business leaders, and functional members. Collaborate with internal and external resources on specific project assignments. Apply advanced knowledge of manufacturing principles and practices to Cummins processes. Maintain relationships and coach key stakeholders to foster a collaborative work environment. Responsibilities and Requirements: Build partnerships and work collaboratively to meet shared objectives. Develop and deliver effective communication tailored to different audiences. Champion proactive health and safety behaviors to promote an injury-free workplace. Interpret engineering drawings to develop manufacturing processes. Select and procure manufacturing equipment that meets specifications. Use digital tools to model and simulate manufacturing processes for data-driven decisions. Implement process improvements, tooling, and equipment changes to meet functional needs. Produce clear manufacturing procedures for process standardization. Possess a degree in STEM or related field, with intermediate relevant work experience. Knowledge of industrial safety regulations, supervisory experience, and familiarity with manufacturing KPIs. Experience with manufacturing processes such as injection molding, metal forming, CNC machining, and automation technologies. High proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, NX, Creo) and understanding of GD&T standards. Ability to lead problem-solving activities using root cause analysis tools.
