Job Description As a Senior Project Engineer, you will lead multidisciplinary teams and provide strategic direction across complex projects, including runways, taxiways, aprons, airfield lighting, deicing facilities, and more. Youll influence every stage of project developmentfrom concept through constructionwhile mentoring junior engineers and ensuring technical rigor, client satisfaction, and operational efficiency. What you can expect to do here: Lead and oversee conceptual, functional, and detailed design phases for major airport infrastructure projects. Provide technical leadership and ensure compliance with regulatory standards (TP312, ICAO, FAA). Manage project delivery including scope, budget, schedule, and risk mitigation strategies. Mentor and develop junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and collaboration. Engage with senior stakeholders and clients to build strong relationships and deliver strategic solutions. Drive innovation in design methodologies, sustainability practices, and digital tools. Champion quality assurance and continuous improvement across all deliverables. Contribute to business development, including proposal leadership and client presentations. Represent WSP at industry forums and maintain thought leadership in aviation engineering. What youll bring to WSP: Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering. Licensed Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) in Ontario or eligible for registration. 10+ years of progressive engineering experience, with a strong focus on aviation infrastructure. Proven track record in leading complex, multidisciplinary projects. Expertise in TP312 5th Edition and familiarity with ICAO and FAA standards. Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil3D, and project management tools. Strong business acumen and ability to influence strategic decisions.
