Overview Senior Manager of Standards & Business Sections (Electro Federation Canada - EFC) Electro-Federation Canada (EFC) is a national, not-for-profit association representing the electrical and automation industries, contributing to Canadas net zero future, intelligent buildings, smart infrastructure, and Industry 4.0. We are currently seeking a full-time Senior Manager of Standards & Business Sections to work with EFCs manufacturer members to help develop consensus industry position on the evolution of Canadian installation codes, electrical product standards and other related business topics. This hybrid position is located at EFC head office (190 Attwell Avenue, Toronto, Ontario) and requires some travel. Responsibilities Manage EFCs business sections representing specific product categories within the manufacturing community. Act on behalf and represent EFC members on third party strategic standardisation committees (CSA, SCC, ISED, etc.) and with key industry stakeholders. Lead industry responses in the development of proposals related to the evolution of Canadian installation codes, electrical product standards. Collaborate with statistics department to facilitate market intelligence requests. Collaborate with membership department to facilitate member engagement and section recruitment. The Successful Candidate Will Possess The Following Qualifications Bachelors Degree or diploma in Engineering or Certified Engineering Technologist. Minimum of three (3) years of relevant work experience. Strong facilitation, presentation and communication skills coupled with the ability to elucidate and convey technical details effectively. Robust project management skills and the ability to organize, prioritize and follow through on important projects. Ability to develop consensus and excel as a facilitator. Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills. Experience with energy efficient solutions (asset). Basic technical knowledge of electrical concepts; experience with CE Code or standards development considered an asset. Self-starter with a curious and analytical mindset with the ability to be resourceful, find answers, and take initiative. Result oriented with good planning, organization skills; collaborative, open minded and flexible team-player. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products including PowerPoint, Word and Excel. Pro-active and independent with minimal supervision. Strong attention to detail.
