About the role We are seeking an experienced and passionate Engineering Manager to lead our Risk Team, the group responsible for our core risk engine the cornerstone of our platform. By combining data on global companies with signals from worldwide events, our Risk Team builds systems that transform massive volumes of raw data into actionable risk insights. These insights help our customers identify and mitigate potential risks in their suppliers and partners, driving smarter and safer business decisions. As an Engineering Manager, youll guide a crossfunctional team of backend, frontend, and data engineers to build reliable, scalable web applications and services that power our SaaS platform. You will play a key role in ensuring the quality, performance, and maintainability of our systems while helping your team deliver features quickly and effectively. What youll do Own Exigers Risk function end-to-end Lead, mentor, and grow a team of :10 engineers (frontend, backend, and data), fostering a culture of ownership, innovation, and continuous improvement Drive delivery of new features across multiple services and systems, ensuring scalable, secure, and highquality releases Collaborate crossfunctionally with Product Management, Data Science, Infrastructure, as well as other dev teams to align priorities and deliver business value Oversee architecture and design decisions, helping the team make tradeoffs between performance, scalability, and time-to-market Ensure reliability and observability across our microservices ecosystem, including production monitoring, alerting, and recovery Ensure operational excellence, managing the CI/CD lifecycle, testing, and deployments Scale systems and processes as the company growshelping us transition from rapid development to sustainable, highquality delivery at scale What you bring to the team Unyielding sense of ownership and accountability you care about your work and it shows 6+ years of handson engineering experience including strong background in backend systems or dataintensive applications 3+ years of engineering management experience leading software teams Complete understanding of cloudnative architectures, Kubernetes, and IAC Experience building and scaling missioncritical, APIfirst SaaS systems, balancing shortterm delivery with longterm architectural vision Proven track record of mentorship and fostering growth of engineers at all levels Passion for data, analytics, and using technology to uncover meaningful insights Experience working at a rapidly evolving, PEbacked startup Bonus points for experience operating in an airgapped FedRAMP or DOD I/L environment Our tech stack Core Platform: Java (21+) / Spring Boot; Python / Celery Data: MySQL, PostgreSQL, Snowflake Frontend: TypeScript / Angular Messaging: Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis Infrastructure: Kubernetes via Helm and Argo CD; AWS via Terraform Testing: Testcontainers, WireMock, JUnit, Pytest, Cypress Observability: ELK, DataDog Architecture: EventDriven Microservices Exiger is revolutionizing the way corporations, government agencies and banks manage risk and compliance with a combination of technologyenabled and SaaS solutions.
