Who are we looking for? Our Ontario Transportation Group is looking for a Senior Project Manager / Project Director to join our growing Canadian Operations. The position can be located in any of our Whitby , Markham , Mississauga , St. Catharines , or Waterloo offices. Due to continued growth in our transportation practice, we are seeking a Senior Project Manager for any of our GTA offices. This position will be key in developing and growing GHD''''s Transit / Rail practice. Working with an energetic and high-performing team, this position offers a variety of work including: Responsibilities Project Delivery: Oversee projects to meet budget, schedule, and quality standards; provide leadership in project management. Project Governance: Monitor schedules, coordinate with sub-consultants, municipalities, utility companies, railway owners/operators, and clients; assist with contract administration. Portfolio Management: Lead BRT, road, and bridge projects for municipal clients. Project Team Management: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to produce high-quality deliverables. Risk and Issue Management: Identify and address project risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints. Benefit Realization: Conduct assessments to evaluate project benefits post-implementation. Resource Management: Manage project budgets and resource deployment effectively. Culture of Innovation: Foster innovation through collaborative solutions and activities like idea platforms and hackathons. Leadership and Direction: Communicate strategies, motivate teams, and align with organizational goals. Project Proposals: Support business development through proposal development and client relationship management. Change Management: Manage projects within transformational change programs using structured methodologies. Stakeholder Management: Develop stakeholder engagement plans and maintain positive relationships. Scope Definition: Lead activities to define and agree on project scope and deliverables. Project Assurance: Ensure project quality and confidence through reviews and issue resolution. Business Analysis: Interpret business needs and recommend solutions at the business unit level. Education Master''''s Degree or Equivalent Ontario P.Eng. designation required or eligible Experience 15+ years in transportation infrastructure design and engineering, including BRT. Experience with municipal transportation clients in the Greater Toronto Area.
