Drafting ManagerJob Summary: We are seeking an experienced and motivated Drafting Manager to join our clients manufacturing facility in Hensall, ON. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the Drafting & Design team in the production of accurate, code-compliant working drawings and design documentation for motor homes and RVs. The Drafting Manager will oversee daily operations, support new model development, collaborate closely with construction and estimating teams, and ensure drafting standards and technology systems are consistently maintained. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with a strong architectural design background, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for mentoring teams while driving high-quality results in a manufacturing environment.Job Type: Full-time, permanent. Job Location: Hensall, ON (50 mins North London)Shift Structure: Monday to Friday; 7am to 3pm (flexible based on driving distance to work)Compensation Structure: $75,000k per annum + excellent benefits + 3 weeks vacation to start + management incentive programs + more!Responsibilities:Lead and supervise the Drafting & Design team to deliver precise working drawings and plot plans that meet company standards, regulatory codes, and client requirements.Coordinate day-to-day and long-term workloads by reviewing priorities, monitoring schedules, and confirming completion of all necessary documentation such as work orders and estimating notes.Oversee the development of new home models, revisions to construction details, and the production of complete working drawing packages.Contribute to the research and development of new designs, including participating in show home tours and facilitating architectural control approvals.Manage team performance through goal setting, regular check-ins, and ongoing feedback to support professional growth and accountability.Provide technical support to estimating and cost control teams by preparing drawing updates, duplicating models, and offering guidance on structural and code compliance matters.Maintain drafting technology standards by ensuring proper use of AutoCAD and related tools, and coordinating file organization, backups, and system requirements with IT.Work closely with construction teams by attending coordination meetings and conducting site visits when required.Promote a positive, open, and collaborative team culture that supports effective communication and teamwork.Skills/Qualifications:Bachelors degree or diploma in Architectural Technology, Design, or a related discipline.A minimum of five years of professional experience in architectural design.Three to five years of demonstrated experience successfully leading and managing a high-performing team.Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD, Autodesk Inventor, and other relevant drafting and design software, including Microvellum, SketchUp, and Lumion (Specific softwares are an asset, otherwise they are willing to train)Previous experience within the manufactured or mobile home and travel trailer construction industry is considered an asset, but not requiredSelf-motivated individual with a strong work ethic and a results-driven mindset, committed to delivering high-quality work on schedule.Exceptional time management abilities with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.Apply Today!Note- AI-assisted tools may be used to help screen, assess or shortlist candidates.
