Overview: We are adding a dedicated part-time Housekeeper to our home in the L9A area of the Hamilton Mountain. The ideal candidate is cheerful, hospitable, punctual, and hard-working, with a passion for cooking and a strong aptitude for cleaning and organization. Duties: Cook and serve gluten-free meals Cook and store meals for re-heating Clear and rinse dishes, load and run dishwasher Clean kitchen, bedrooms, washrooms, and common areas including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces Tidy and organize common spaces Wash and fold laundry, set out clothing Change bed linens and towels Manage trash and recycling Provide pet care for a cat, including feeding and cleaning bowls and litter box Run errands, retrieve mail, and do household shopping as needed Maintain outdoor spaces including salting, sweeping, watering plants, and/or weeding Assist elderly person by fetching or moving items, or as requested Accompany elderly person to occasional appointments Qualifications: Speaks and understands English Holds Class G driver license with good record Able to cook, adapted for a gluten-free diet Has attention to detail and excellent time management Has detailed cleaning skills, acquired either professionally or through a combination of aptitude and personal experience Has an acceptable recent Vulnerable Sector Search Has verified references Is available on weekday afternoons This role is for someone who is trustworthy and exudes warmth and positivity. As a housekeeper who will primarily keep the home according to tastes and preferences of the senior client, you are adaptable and accommodating, and enjoy creating a welcoming atmosphere.
