Position Overview: Reporting to the Director of Addiction, Mental Health and Outreach Services, the Manager of Addition, Mental Health and Outreach Services at Street Haven provides operational leadership and direct supervision for all Grant House programs. This role ensures high-quality service delivery through effective staff management, program implementation, and day-to-day operations that align with Street Haven''s mission of supporting Toronto''s most vulnerable women. The position requires hands-on operational management combined with strategic thinking to develop and maintain programs that effectively address client needs while meeting funder requirements. Key Responsibilities Department and Program Oversight Provide strategic and operational leadership. Department and program oversight. Supervise the residential addictions, outreach and mental health program and support the team in achieving individual client goals, clearly communicate performance expectations and responsibilities. Supervise client intake and referral processes to outreach and mental health, crisis and trauma services, providing wholistic, contiguous care. Engage in HR management including recruitment, performance management, ongoing coaching and training to create an atmosphere of innovative thinking and open communication. Ensure quality in the program''s service delivery including clinical care and documentation. Ensure continuity of care in the provision of comprehensive services. Partnership Management Serve on agency committees, working groups, and other bodies as assigned. Promote and foster relationship building in support of agency integration and coordination of all services affecting client service based on the principles of working within a client focused system, circle of care providers. Coordinate services to ensure continuum of care (e.g., medical professionals, pharmacy, referring agencies, adjunct services etc.). Administration and Reporting Monitor the program budget in partnership with the Finance Team and the Director. Develop and report on program performance and quality improvement metrics as required. Documentation in accordance with the Drug and Alcohol Treatment Information System (DATIS) privacy guidelines and Street Haven policies and procedures. Care Responsibilities Provide clinical guidance and supervision to the team on addictions treatment and mental health counselling, making appropriate client referrals, care planning, and follow-ups for clients with high-risk or complex health problems. Remain in compliance with accepted clinical pathways and legislative requirements, using harm reduction strategies, trauma-informed care, and women-centred and anti-oppressive practices. Adhere to the agency''s policies and procedures and comply with all relevant federal and provincial legislation. Provides leadership and support to clients within Street Haven''s umbrella of programs through addressing addiction, mental health and other trauma-related challenges (i.e., at the shelter). On-Call & Emergency Response Participate in management on-call rotation, providing after-hours support and decision-making for critical situations. Respond to emergency situations according to established protocols, ensuring proper documentation and follow-up. Coordinate with emergency services (police, paramedics, fire) when necessary. Conduct debriefings following critical incidents to identify lessons learned and support staff. Ensure appropriate reporting of serious occurrences to the Executive Director and regulatory bodies. Ensure staff are properly trained and prepared to respond to various emergency scenarios. Other duties as required. Qualifications & Requirements Education & Experience Bachelor''s degree in social work, social service work, addiction and mental health, and/or a combination of relevant education and work experiences. Minimum 4 years'' experience in non-profit or social services, with at least 2 years in a management role. Minimum 1 year of experience in addiction and mental health services. Demonstrated experience working with vulnerable women, including those facing challenges with mental health, addiction, homelessness, and trauma. Experience in program development, implementation, and evaluation. Knowledge of Housing First principles and harm reduction approaches. Experience with leadership within a unionized workplace preferred. Knowledge & Skills Possess knowledge of relevant legislation and government programs including Ontario Works, ODSP, Mental Health Act, and AODA Ability to manage, mentor, performance improve and develop staff, including disciplinary actions where necessary Strong crisis intervention, de-escalation, and conflict resolution skills Proficiency in program budgeting and financial management Excellent organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize competing demands Strong written and verbal communication skills Personal Attributes Demonstrated commitment to Street Haven''s mission and values Strong ethical standards and commitment to privacy and confidentiality Ability to make sound decisions under pressure Flexibility and adaptability in responding to changing priorities Resilience and ability to manage stress in a demanding environment Compassionate approach balanced with appropriate professional boundaries Solution-focused mindset and problem-solving orientation Cultural sensitivity and commitment to inclusive practices Where we work This role is based in Downtown Toronto and requires working on-site 5 days a week, 40 hours weekly.
