We currently have opportunities for a Temporary Part-Time Clinical Secretary 6 Approx until June 18, 2026 Location: WRHN @ Midtown (formerly Grand River Hospital, KW Campus) Home to seven regional programs and comprehensive health-care services, Waterloo Regional Health Network (WRHN, pronounced wren) is committed to meeting the current and emerging needs in Waterloo-Wellington and beyond. Position Summary Clerical function of the patient care unit/ outpatient clinics including but not limited to reception duties, purchasing and requisition submission, maintaining and filing medical charts, scanning documents. Also contributes to ensuring there is a safe environment for patients, staff, volunteers and visitors. Works closely with physicians and other departments to deliver timely care. Must be able to multi task and work in a busy clinic. The employee needs to be able to function on Cerner and scheduling and appointment book. Hours of Work: HOURS ARE MONDAY TO FRIDAY - 7.5 HOUR SHIFTS Position Requirements Post-secondary medical secretarial or health office administration diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience required Registration and health record knowledge are an asset Patient scheduling knowledge an asset Data entry and accuracy required Medical terminology is required Recent ward clerk experience in an ambulatory care setting preferred Ability to function effectively in clinical areas with rapid pace and fast turnover Working expert knowledge of data entry in Cerner preferred Knowledge of all hospital computer software and MS Office preferred Demonstrated reliability, dependability and adaptability Familiarity with Hospital office equipment such as: lab printers, addressograph, telephones and companion phones, fax machines, scanners and photocopiers Effective communication and organization skills and ability to transition and manage a constantly changing environment Self-directed individual who practices confidentiality and discretion in patient/record contacts Excellent attendance record At WRHN We Support Our Team Members With A thorough onboarding and orientation program Ongoing training and development opportunities Access to our Ongoing Education Fund Career mentorship Wellness programs EMPLOYEES OF LEGACY ST.
