Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled System Engineer to join our dynamic IT team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex systems infrastructure to support our organization''s technological needs. This role requires a strong understanding of virtualization, cloud platforms, operating systems, and scripting to ensure optimal system performance, security, and scalability. The System Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions and improve existing systems, ensuring high availability and reliability across all platforms. Responsibilities Design, deploy, and manage virtualized environments using VMware and other virtualization technologies. Maintain and optimize operating systems including Windows, Linux, and Unix-based platforms such as Bash (Unix shell) and Shell Scripting. Manage cloud infrastructure on AWS and Azure, ensuring scalable and secure deployment of services. Configure and support VPNs for secure remote access. Develop automation scripts using Python, Bash, Shell Scripting, and DevOps tools to streamline system operations. Administer databases such as SQL, Oracle, ensuring data integrity and performance tuning. Implement and monitor security protocols across all systems to safeguard organizational data. Collaborate with development teams to support application deployment using DevOps practices. Troubleshoot system issues promptly to minimize downtime and maintain high system availability. Document system configurations, procedures, and best practices for ongoing maintenance and knowledge sharing. Experience Proven experience working with VMware virtualization platforms. Strong background in managing operating systems including Windows, Linux, and Unix environments. Hands-on experience with cloud services such as AWS and Azure. Knowledge of network security protocols including VPN configuration and management. Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, SQL, Bash (Unix shell), Shell Scripting. Familiarity with database management systems like Oracle and SQL Server. Experience implementing DevOps pipelines for continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD). Ability to troubleshoot complex system issues efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Prior experience in a similar role or relevant certifications is preferred but not mandatory.
