Applicants are required to have a demonstrated knowledge, understanding and commitment to this care philosophy. The Research Dietitian will report directly to the Manager, Ambulatory Care Department. The Research Dietitian will perform all duties of a Registered Dietitian within the context of a prehabilitation research study, in accordance with the scope of practice and professional standards defined by the College of Dietitians of Ontario. This vacancy is open to both Fulltime and Parttime interested applicants. This (0.2) FTE can be amended in, or added to a current profile. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Deliver nutrition assessment and counselling for participants enrolled in a prehabilitation research study, in alignment with the approved study protocol and evidencebased practice. Plan and deliver groupbased nutrition education sessions for study participants, including support for individualized nutritional goal setting. Conduct scheduled individualized nutrition followup assessments for study participants to monitor progress and adjust nutrition intervention as guided by standard practice Collaborate and communicate closely with the multidisciplinary prehabilitation research team, including physicians, physiotherapists, and research personnel, to ensure consistent implementation of the study protocol. Screen participants for nutritionrelated risk factors, including potential food insecurity, and facilitate appropriate supports or referrals as required. Collect, document, and manage nutritionrelated research data, including dietary intake, anthropometric measures, and patientreported outcomes, in accordance with study requirements, institutional policies, and privacy legislation. Maintain accurate and timely clinical and research documentation to support study monitoring, quality assurance, and reporting activities. Contribute to research activities related to the prehabilitation study, including protocol implementation, team meetings, and knowledge translation initiatives as appropriate. EMPLOYMENT REQUIREMENTS: Education/Experience: Current registration and good standing with the College of Dietitians of Ontario. Experience providing nutrition care to patients with complex chronic disease. Entrylevel competence in enteral and parenteral nutrition support. Experience delivering nutrition care in ambulatory, outpatient, or researchbased clinical settings. Skills/Abilities: Demonstrated adult education skills, including the ability to provide group and individual nutrition education. Demonstrated patient and familycentered counselling skills to support selfmanagement of chronic disease. Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills. Proficiency in computer applications and clinical documentation systems, including the use of virtual care and telemedicine platforms. Demonstrated critical thinking, problemsolving, and conflict resolution skills. Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within an interprofessional and research team. Demonstrated organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities in a researchdriven environment. Proven flexibility and ability to adapt positively to change. Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional education and evidencebased practice.
