The Nido Guide is responsible for providing warm, responsive, and developmentally supportive care for infants nurturing Montessori-inspired Nido environment. This role centers on building secure, trusting relationships while supporting infants through gentle routines, encouraging early independence, and maintaining a safe, emotionally supportive space. The Nido Guide brings patience, attentiveness, and a genuine love for caring for our youngest learners as they explore, move, communicate, and form their earliest relationships. REQUIREMENTS A Level 1 Early Childhood Educator certification is required for this role, along with 2 years of experience in early learning or childcare, specifically with infants. Preferences will be given to those with previous experience working in a Montessori inspired practice. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, highly organized, and possess strong interpersonal and communication skills. A satisfactory background check, Vulnerable Sector Check, and a valid Emergency First Aid Certificate are also required. DUTIES The duties of this position include, but are not limited to: Responsive Caregiving Provide warm, attuned, relationship-based care to each infant. Follow children''s individual rhythms for feeding, sleeping, and movement. Support early independence with gentle guidance (helping with first steps, early language, and self-help skills). Environment & Routines Prepare a calm, safe, and inviting space where infants can explore at their own pace. Support free movement, floor time, sensory exploration, and outdoor time. Maintain cleanliness and safety while creating a warm, home-like atmosphere. Observation & Documentation Observe infants closely to understand their needs, cues and emerging skills. Document routines, observations, and daily updates using Lillio, ensuring information is accurate, and timely. Communicate clearly with families through Lillio and in-person conversations. Health & Safety Follow all licensing, hygiene, feeding, and emergency procedures. Respond appropriately to signs of illness or distress.
