Job Summary We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Web Designer to join our rocket ship team The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of web development and design, with a passion for creating visually appealing and user-friendly websites. As a Web Designer, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement engaging web experiences that meet the needs of our clients while adhering to best practices in web accessibility and usability. Responsibilities Design and develop visually appealing websites that align with brand guidelines and user needs. Create wireframes, prototypes, and mockups to effectively communicate design ideas. Conduct user research and usability testing to gather feedback for continuous improvement. Optimize websites for maximum speed and scalability while ensuring responsiveness across devices. Maintain knowledge of current trends in web design, UX/UI, and emerging technologies. Ensure compliance with web accessibility standards to provide an inclusive experience for all users. Analyze website performance data to inform design decisions and improve user engagement. Manage content updates on platforms such as SharePoint as needed. Requirements Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for effective web development. Experience in interaction design and user experience (UX) principles. Familiarity with information architecture concepts to enhance site navigation. Understanding of data analysis skills to interpret user behavior metrics effectively. Knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG) to ensure inclusivity in designs. Experience with Python is a plus for backend integration tasks. Familiarity with email marketing strategies and tools is advantageous. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
