What is the Opportunity? The Shoreline Power Group is a fully integrated joint venture of Aecon and Atkins Ralis, and the Steam Generator Replacement Team (SGRT) project is a joint venture of Aecon and Framatome, both located in Kincardine, Ontario. These projects are the centerpiece of the Major Component Replacement (MCR) program, which replaces the main components of six reactorsincluding the steam generatorsat the Bruce Power Nuclear Generating Station. The project is part of Bruce Powers Life Extension Program, which will allow the CANDU units to continue operating safely through 2064. The Project Director reports to the Executive Steering. What You''''ll Do Here Develop an appropriate organization that can execute major refurbishment projects. Create and maintain productive relationships with clients, owners, and contractors. Serve as the key relationship manager with the client and build a range of effective partnerships. Manage the strategic vision to develop a real and powerful competitive advantage in the nuclear industry for our Canadian work. Contribute to the strategic capabilities and advantages of the partner companies. Balance schedule, cost, quality, and safety to achieve effective outcomes for clients. Ensure alignment between partner companies and foster a powerful foundation for the Steering Committees functioning. Guide the project through all phases of refurbishment and understand the full contract scope. Lead negotiations and manage contract-related issues. Create robust information flows and communication with key stakeholders and the owner. Integrate into strategy and planning processes for both partner companies. What You Bring To The Team BSc in Engineering or equivalent experience. 20+ years of experience managing major refurbishment or largescale nuclear projects. Experience managing and working in a large joint venture. EPC experience. Technical knowledge of construction methods, building systems, and terminology. Ability to read and understand construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Knowledge of laws governing construction contracts and contracting. Significant experience and understanding of the nuclear industry, including owner and contractor requirements. Experience with Bruce Power or current CEO is an asset. Experience working in a live nuclear environment. Knowledge of and existing relationships within the nuclear sector. Knowledge of INPO practices and principles and practice the same. Appreciation of the importance of Quality Assurance Programs in the nuclear industry. Experience in a key role in Utility Nuclear Leadership is valued. Experience as a Nuclear Operator is important for project execution across phases. Experience working for a Nuclear Generating Station in an Operations capacity is preferable. Substantial experience in building functional joint ventures that execute work effectively. High level of executive management exposure, including building, managing, and sustaining a highperforming business to deliver profitable growth. Strong business and technical mix to understand and influence key internal and external stakeholders. Experience working with Senior Executive Leadership and developing productive relationships.
