THE OPPORTUNITY EBC is seeking a dynamic and bilingual Communications Advisor to play a key role in developing and executing our internal and external communication strategies. Reporting to the Communications Manager, this person will be instrumental in promoting EBCs mission, vision, values, and achievements across various platforms. They will act as a trusted advisor and strategic partner to internal teams, crafting compelling narratives and ensuring consistent brand alignment. Responsibilities Strategic Advice and Planning Collaborate with the Director and Communications Manager to provide informed recommendations that enhance the companys internal and external communication strategies, publications, and tools. Contribute to the development and implementation of comprehensive communication plans, including the definition of key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure effectiveness. Champion EBCs brand identity by ensuring its consistent application across all communication channels and aligning messaging with the companys overall objectives and strategic plan. Project Leadership and Execution Lead and manage various communication projects and internal initiatives. Work effectively in partnership with internal teams and external suppliers (e.g., graphic designers, translators) to support project delivery and meet evolving communication needs. Plan and coordinate internal events and campaigns designed to foster strong communication, enhance employee engagement, and celebrate EBCs achievements and core values. Content Development and Management Proactively identify internal communication needs and create impactful content that highlights the company, showcases achievements, and celebrates team contributions. Manage and update content on the company intranet and website, ensuring accuracy, relevance, and high presentation quality. Develop a range of communication tools, including engaging newsletters, compelling internal promotional emails, and user-friendly digital forms. Conceptualize, design, and adapt promotional materials, including managing EBCs online store and overseeing procurement and distribution processes. Requirements Bachelors degree in Communications or a related field. Minimum of 8 years of experience in a similar role. Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and French. Demonstrated ability to develop and implement communication strategies for internal and external audiences. Proven experience managing communication projects from concept to completion. Strong ability to develop engaging content for various platforms (website, intranet, social media, email, print). Experience with website content management systems (CMS) and intranet platforms. Knowledge of digital marketing principles and social media best practices. Skills and attitudes required Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships across teams. Creative, proactive, detail-oriented, and autonomous. Strong strategic thinking, quick comprehension, and a high sense of urgency. Adaptable and flexible in a constantly evolving environment.
