Job Description

SiteTalent is hiring on behalf of our client, who operates multiple industrial businesses. This role is with one of their operating companies, a long-established master distributor of stainless steel fasteners with over 100 years of industry experience. They are seeking a handson General Manager with strong operational experience and a background in sales and business development. This role carries full P&L ownership and responsibility for driving business growth while refining and implementing systems and processes. Key Responsibilities Own and execute the business unit growth plan, with full accountability for revenue, margin, and profitability Build, lead, and develop the sales organization through the Sales Manager, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance management, and succession planning Establish and run a disciplined sales operating system, including weekly pipeline reviews, forecast cadence, stage definitions, win and loss analysis, and account and territory planning Drive new business growth and deeper customer penetration through gotomarket initiatives, including new products, new customer segments, new geographies, inside outbound sales, and ecommerce Maintain strong pricing discipline and margin protection while scaling the business Oversee operational execution to ensure service levels are protected as growth accelerates Sustain and evolve automation and technology improvements, including autoquoting tools, datadriven decision making, CRM adoption, and warehouse optimization Align outside sales, inside sales, and warehouse teams through shared priorities, KPIs, and operating cadence Build and reinforce a culture of growth and continuous improvement with clear accountability, urgency, and communication Partner with internal leaders to protect and strengthen key vendor and customer relationships Qualifications 8+ years of experience in a senior leadership role, managing sales and operations Experience in manufacturing and distribution is a major asset Experience building or rebuilding an outside sales function, including hiring, coaching, pipeline generation, and forecast discipline Demonstrated ability to grow profitably with strong pricing discipline and margin protection Experience implementing and enforcing CRM usage and using KPIs to drive behaviour change Experience implementing operating systems to support scalable, profitable growth Operational literacy with a solid understanding of quoting, fulfilment, service levels, and how operations enable growth Change leadership capability, with the ability to shift teams toward a growth and continuous improvement mindset The Perks Compensation: OTE $150k-$250k Extended health and dental benefits 5 days in office out of their Mississauga office How to Apply Through this posting or email your resume to [email protected] About SiteTalent We are a specialized growth and talent partner for the industrial sector.
