Agri-Neos mission is to help safely feed the world. Our vision to accomplish this is to set new food safety standards with our treatments for many foods. Our first product line is Neo-Pure, which leverages our proprietary technology of liquid formulas and systems that apply our solutions onto spices, nuts, seeds, and pulses in food processing facilities. These solutions control pathogens such as Salmonella and other quality indicator microorganisms (TPC, coliforms, etc.) to ensure the food is safe to eat and to prevent recalls. We have several customers throughout the globe (North America, Latin America, China, and Egypt), including large mainstream food processors that treat food continuously at high throughputs. We have also built a pipeline of products for pathogen and micro control that will be launching for other food categories, including fruits & vegetables (frozen, fresh) and powders. We are looking for a motivated, technically savvy Test Engineer to join our engineering team to assist in the development of these new products. POSITION SUMMARY The Test Engineer is primarily accountable for assisting the Product Development Engineer with pilot and large-scale runs, starting with the fruits and vegetables system. This position will utilize technical best practices and work alongside Engineers, Scientists, and Technicians to help build and test solutions to a variety of internal, technical problems. The incumbent will be required to carry out a limited range of tests and analyses of systems, including mechanical and electrical components. The individual will be required to prepare and interpret engineering design, drawings, and specifications. They will also be required to establish and execute setup, runtime, takedown, and cleaning SOPs for the pilot and large-scale fruits and vegetables system. The Test Engineer is primarily responsible for ensuring the overall effectiveness and efficiency of all testing equipment along with a variety of post processing analysis. In addition, this role is responsible for assisting the product development team with testing of new hardware and design concepts. Key Responsibilities Establish and execute SOPs for the pilot plant system. Drive a forklift to assist system set up and system testing. Collaborate with various parties to prepare for validations at customer sites by validating same foods on-site at AgriNeo. Establish and execute preventative measures to ensure pilot and largescale systems are running properly. Work alongside Product Development Engineers to design, build, and test solutions to a variety of technical problems. Propose ideas for improving existing designs. Identify opportunities for and test new parts. Inspect, test, and modify existing designs and prototypes. Assist with the fabrication of materials and parts as required. Set up equipment and conduct research, collect data, and write reports. Test products to ensure functionality and compliance. Communication, Administration & General Support Ensure all internal technical service requests are handled in a timely manner. Review and communicate information on any system or component changes, improvements, or modifications to all relevant parties. Collaborate and cooperate with colleagues and assist as needed. Maintain accurate and up to date reports, records, and files as needed. Ensure all documentation needed for external product certification is accurate and up to date. Attend conferences and participate in other learning and growth opportunities. Assist with training staff on proper system usage as needed. Qualifications PostSecondary certification in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Agricultural Engineering, or related field required. 0 - 3 years experience related to Mechanical or ElectroMechanical experience. Solid knowledge base of the components of mechanical and electrical engineering. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, accounting systems, and software. Valid Drivers license & insurance. Must be able to travel 10% of the time. Skills Working knowledge of AutoCAD or 3D graphic software. Ability to manage complex and timesensitive projects. Strong hand and power tool experience. Ability to troubleshoot, test, repair, and service various electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic equipments. Read and understand engineering drawings, schematics, specifications, and technical manuals. Proficient with the use of computers to troubleshoot and make reports (Microsoft office, email etc.). Strong work ethic and a track record of personal and professional growth. Highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to drive a forklift with proper training.
