You will be responsible for ensuring guest expectations are consistently exceeded, delivering superior operating performance, providing ownership a return on their investment, and inspiring an open and innovative learning environment for all colleagues and leaders. Operations that directly report to this position include Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Engineering, and Security. Be a champion for Fairmont Waterfronts Culture, Vision, Mission and Values Demonstrate a commitment to service excellence through the implementation of Fairmont Core Standards, Luxury Service Essentials, LQA and Forbes Standards Ensure the smooth operation and coordination of the operating departments through their respective Department Heads, responding to forecasted business levels Participate in the preparation, presentation and achievement of the hotels annual Operating Budget and Marketing & Sales Plan Contribute strategically to revenue forecasting, labor planning, CSR and ESG commitments, and the health, safety and security of guests and colleagues Lead and support departments in achieving financial and operational targets via effective organizational development and policy implementation Uphold an inclusive work culture by implementing diverse and equitable practices and policies Create a solutionoriented environment that motivates colleagues to deliver luxury service experiences Maintain accurate monthly financial outlooks for Rooms and Food & Beverage Monitor staffing levels to achieve departmental productivity targets Coordinate planning and implementation of capital improvement projects Ensure compliance with hotel operating controls Manage guest relations and handle guest response alerts within required timelines Participate in leadership recruitment within operating departments Maintain and update the hotels business continuity, emergency and crisis management plans Promote all Company Health & Safety policies to ensure a safe work environment Act as a key member of the Executive Committee and assume General Manager responsibilities in their absence Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Previous progressive experience in a senior leadership role within a similar hotel brand Extensive hotel operations experience Analytical skills, strong leadership, creativity, and planning abilities Proven ability to mentor and develop team members and lead across departments Excellent relationship building across all departments and ability to positively influence all levels Track record of coordinating multiple departments toward financial, engagement, satisfaction and brand goals Exceptional oral and written communication and guest interaction skills Selfconfident, proactive, and capable of prioritizing and making effective decisions Proven knowledge of budget planning and financial control Highly responsible, reliable and able to work under pressure in a fastpaced environment Strong focus on guest needs and rolemodel calm, courteous behavior Attention to cleanliness, maintenance and detail Creative and innovative mindset PostSecondary Degree/Diploma in Hospitality Management or related university equivalent Additional Information Canadian work authorization required.
