Lead Data Analyst Department: Data and Analytics Location : On site, 305 Milner Avenue, Suite 400, Toronto Type of employment: Permanent, Full Time (40 hours) Reason for posting: Existing Vacancy Salary: Starting at $78K THE ROLE As a member of the Enterprise Data & Analytics Team, the Lead Data Analyst is an everyday partner with multiple departments, including Global Marketing, Category Management, Shared Services & Finance, Global Technology, and Business Unit Leadership. This is a unique opportunity to work on a new, growing team within a large organization. The Lead Data Analyst will serve as the organizations go-to expert for Power BI, owning the end-to-end development of advanced dashboards that deliver clear, actionable insights across multiple business domains. This role requires someone who can translate complex data into compelling stories, confidently present findings and tools to stakeholders, and ensure teams understand how to leverage analytics for better decision-making. The ideal candidate combines strong technical skills with exceptional communication, enabling them to influence strategy, guide stakeholders, and elevate the overall analytics capability within Circle K. What Youll Do Want to start your career with us? Heres an overview of the main responsibilities of this position: Develop, maintain, and optimize advanced and interactive Power BI dashboards to track business performance and identify opportunities for improvement. Serve as a trusted advisor to business partners, understanding their priorities and providing data-driven guidance to support decision-making. Collaborate across teams to frame analytical problems, design solutions, and drive execution of insights. Present findings clearly and effectively to technical and non-technical stakeholders, tailoring messaging to different audiences. Mentor and provide guidance to junior analysts to promote best practices in analytics, visualization, and stakeholder engagement. Set the technical direction for coding practices using Python/R, PySpark, SQL, and cloud-based tools (Snowflake, Databricks). Oversee development of robust, scalable codebases, ensuring alignment with organizational strategy. Leverage GenAI to enable self-service analytics at scale. Follow defined project management processes. Actively participate in project plan development and agile ceremonies (backlog development, sprint planning, daily standups, retros/reviews) and documentation. What Youll Need We want you to join our team! Heres what were looking for: Education Bachelors or Masters degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field, or equivalent experience. Experience 4+ years of experience in analytics or business intelligence, with leadership experience preferred. Knowledge And Skills Advanced proficiency in Power BI, Excel, SQL, and Python/R Experience with PySpark, Snowflake, and Databricks is a plus. Experience with DevOps/MLOps and CI/CD processes. Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills; able to influence executives and cross-functional teams. Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills; capable of framing complex business questions and designing enterprise-level analytical solutions.
