ServiceNow Test Architect A Bachelors or Higher Degree is the minimum entry required for the position. This job posting is for an existing, active vacancy and we are looking for a ServiceNow Test Architect immediately with experience in ServiceNow, testing. Job Summary: The Test Architect will define and drive the overall testing strategy across multiple data ingestion projects focused on migrating and synchronizing data from legacy systems into the ServiceNow CMDB. This role ensures a consistent, scalable, and efficient testing framework that guarantees data accuracy, integrity, and performance throughout the ingestion process. The Test Architect will provide strategic vision and framework for testing across the program, enabling Test Leads on individual projects to tailor their test plans to projectspecific needs while maintaining overall cohesion. The Test Architect will ensure alignment with Architecture Review Board/XMO guidelines and leverage datadriven insights to improve quality and reduce defects. Additionally, the Test Architect will identify opportunities to leverage ServiceNow Automated Test Framework (ATF) for effective automated testing and define KPIs to measure testing effectiveness and program success . Key Responsibilities Develop and Own Test Strategy: Define a highlevel testing vision and framework that applies across all data ingestion projects. Establish standards, best practices, and guidelines for testing data migration and integration. Enable Test Leads to adapt the framework for projectspecific needs while maintaining programwide consistency. Oversight & Support: Act as a mentor and advisor to Test Leads on individual projects. Ensure adherence to the overall test strategy and guidelines established by the Architecture Review Board and XMO team. Provide guidance on complex testing challenges and elevate risks when necessary. Data Accuracy & Validation: Design test approaches to validate data accuracy and completeness from source systems to ServiceNow CMDB. Implement automated and manual validation techniques for largescale data sets. Performance Testing: Create performance testing plans to evaluate ingestion speed, load capacity, and scheduling efficiency. Recommend optimal ingestion schedules and batch sizes based on performance results. Define strategies for identifying, categorizing, and reducing defects across projects. Use datadriven analysis to pinpoint root causes and recommend process improvements. ServiceNow ATF Integration: Assess ATF capabilities and identify areas where automated tests can be effectively implemented. Collaborate with ServiceNow developers to integrate ATF into the overall testing strategy. Governance Compliance: Ensure all development teams follow Data Ingestion Guidelines established by the Architecture Review Board and XMO team. Monitor compliance and provide feedback or corrective actions when deviations occur. Framework & Tooling: Select and implement appropriate testing tools for data validation and performance testing. Ensure frameworks support scalability and maintainability across multiple projects. Establish the template for Test Plan Documents to be used consistently across all projects. Define structure and content requirements for test plans, including objectives, scope, approach, and reporting. Traceability Strategy: Develop and implement a traceability approach linking requirements, user stories, and test cases. Ensure traceability is maintained throughout the project lifecycle for compliance and audit readiness. Manual vs Automated Testing Strategy: Define the highlevel strategy for determining when manual test cases are needed versus automated test cases . Ensure a balanced approach that optimizes efficiency, coverage, and risk mitigation across projects. User Acceptance Testing (UAT) Strategy: Define the highlevel approach for UAT , including scope, roles, responsibilities, and success criteria. Collaborate with business stakeholders to ensure UAT aligns with requirements and project objectives. KPI Definition & Reporting: Define programlevel KPIs to measure testing effectiveness, defect reduction, automation coverage, and overall quality. Establish reporting mechanisms and dashboards to track progress against KPIs. Continuously refine testing strategies based on lessons learned and evolving project needs. The pay range for this role is CAD $125,000 - CAD $135,000 per annum including any bonuses or variable pay.
