Position Overview ARCHITECHNICA is seeking a Job Captain/Project Coordinator to support the planning, coordination, and execution of public-sector architectural projects. This role is well-suited for an unlicensed architectural professional who has developed strong technical and organizational skills and is ready to take on increased responsibility across project delivery. The Job Captain works closely with Project Architects and Project Managers to help guide projects from programming through construction, while mentoring junior staff and gaining exposure to the full breadth of architectural practice in support of licensure or long-term leadership growth. Key Responsibilities Support project programming, coordination, and day-to-day management Contribute to all phases of design using hand sketching, SketchUp, Revit, and other design and presentation tools Develop a key understanding of clients program, requirements, and standards Develop and coordinate construction documents using Revit Assist with specifications editing and organization Provide cost-estimating support to develop project estimates through material identification and quantity takeoffs with the support of the Project Architect Support bidding and contractor procurement activities Participate in construction observation and coordination with consultants and contractors Assist and mentor project team members, gaining exposure to additional responsibilities consistent with professional licensure Ability to communicate planning concepts to project teams both verbally and graphically Qualifications Bachelors degree in Architecture with 3+ years of professional experience, OR 10+ years of documented architectural experience Strong working knowledge of Revit required Ability to coordinate multiple project tasks and deadlines Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset Interest in public-sector and community-focused architecture Knowledge of materials, construction techniques, and building codes Experience with Educational, Government, Cultural, Multifamily, or Athletic Facility projects is a plus.
