Job Description Wood is currently seeking an Instrumentation & Controls EIT in Vancouver, BC to join our busy and growing Projects Canada team. The role involves working on small and large projects with a senior engineer, focusing on delivering some of the biggest projects in the Canadian oilsands. Responsibilities Interfacing with various engineering disciplines. Typical responsibilities Project execution may include but are not limited to: Specifying, selecting, and sizing field instrumentation (pressure, temperature, flow, level). Developing instrument datasheets. Supporting senior engineers in deliverables and tasks. Preparing instrument lists (I/O, index, load lists, etc.). Supporting development of Material Take Offs (MTOs). Preparing instrument loop diagrams and termination wiring. Supporting development of material requisitions, technical bid evaluations, and award recommendations for instrumentation commodities. Applicants must be authorized to work lawfully in Canada without sponsorship from Wood, now or in the future. Qualifications Expected Instrumentation Technologist or Bachelors in Science degree in Engineering from an accredited university or college. Willingness to learn and grow within instrumentation and control systems. Minimum of 1+ year(s) of industry experience. Good understanding of CSA standards. Existing experience in the BioProducts or Oil & Gas sector is preferred. Problemsolving ability. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Desirable Experience with AVEVA Instrumentation or Smart Plant Instrumentation. Registration through EGBC or APEGA as an EIT.
