As a CNC Programmer/Machinist within our Rapid Prototyping Centre, youll play a key role in supporting the evolution of the next-generation Christie products by manufacturing key components for product development. If you are driven by innovation and ready for new and changing challenges, we would love to hear from you.ResponsibilitiesManufacture high-quality parts/assemblies/fixtures for product development in our fully equipped CNC Machine Shop (3-Axis, 5-Axis, and/or Lathe).Interpret drawings/CAD models and apply efficient, innovative approaches to meet specs.Collaboratively work with Engineering to problem solve and optimize component design.Modify existing components as required.Troubleshoot machining issues and assist with routine maintenance/housekeeping to maintain high quality standards.Be aware of manufacturing deadlines and work towards achieving those goals through effective time management and collaboration with other team members.Location: onsite based in Kitchener, ONWhat were offeringA competitive salary, vacation, health & dental benefits and employer-matched pension plan.Youll have opportunities to learn, grow, and collaborate with professionals on a global reach. Whether youre working with the leading minds in the industry on high-profile projects, with internal teams to support continuous improvement, or with our customers to inspire and delightyour contributions will make a difference.The experience and skills we valueCertified General Machinist or has demonstrated equivalent experience.Minimum 7 years of experience in CNC Programming.Strong understanding of GD&T and part inspection techniques.Proficiency with MasterCAM and SolidWorks is an asset.Excellent communication and time management skills.Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.Ability to work independently, mentor junior staff and as a team.What will put you aheadExperience operating HAAS/Okuma/RoboDrill CNC machine centers/controls.CNC Lathe or 5-Axis Experience.MasterCAM programming and SolidWorks experience.Knowledge or experience in a prototyping machine shop.Knowledge or experience operating a CMM.Knowledge or experience with Additive Manufacturing.Job VacancyThis posting is to fill an existing open position.Salary RangeThis salary range is provided in good faith and represents our estimate for this position.
