We are seeking a .NET Developer with strong experience in modern web and API development, and handson exposure to AIenabled technologies, including Microsoft AI Foundry, Model Context Protocol (MCP), and Large Language Models (LLMs). This role is primarily responsible for designing and building enterprisegrade .NET applications and APIs, while enabling AIpowered capabilities and agent workflows across the Microsoft ecosystem, including Power Platform and Copilot Studio. What You Will Do Design, develop, and maintain .NET (C#) web applications, APIs, and backend services using modern architectural patterns Build and integrate AIenabled services using Foundry, including secure model access, orchestration, and observability Implement MCP servers and clients to enable toolcalling, data access, and agent interoperability Integrate and consume LLMs (e.g., OpenAI, Azure OpenAI, Gemini, Anthropic) with appropriate prompt design, grounding, and guardrails Develop secure, scalable API integrations supporting AI agents, Copilot extensions, and downstream systems Collaborate with Power Platform teams to support Power Apps, Power Automate, and Copilot Studio solutions through custom connectors, APIs, and backend services Ensure applications meet security, compliance, and performance standards, including secrets management, identity, and access control Participate in code reviews, CI/CD pipelines, testing, deployment, and hypercare support What You Bring To The Role Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to nontechnical stakeholders Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, balance competing deadlines, and work effectively in fastpaced environments Experience working in crossfunctional teams, including architects, security, product owners, and business stakeholders Handson experience in Agile / Scrum development environments, including sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering highquality, maintainable solutions Solid understanding of SDLC and Application Lifecycle Management (ALM), including requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and support Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience) Technical Skills 4+ years of professional experience as a .NET Developer (C#, ASP.NET Core, Web APIs) Strong experience with RESTful APIs, authentication/authorization (OAuth, Entra ID), and cloudnative design Handson experience or strong working knowledge of AI Foundry or equivalent AI service runtimes Experience implementing or consuming MCP for agenttool integration Solid understanding of LLMs, including Model capabilities and limitations, prompt engineering concepts & RAG and toolcalling patterns Experience integrating backend services with Power Platform and Copilot Studio (custom connectors, APIs, actions) Familiarity with Azure services (App Services, Functions, Storage, Key Vault, APIM) Strong understanding of secure coding practices and enterprise governance requirements Experience or familiarity with Google Bard, Gemini Enterprise, or Google Agentspace for enterprise AI or agentbased solutions Exposure to crossplatform LLM ecosystems beyond Microsoft, with an understanding of comparative strengths, limitations, and governance considerations This position requires written and oral fluency in English. The successful candidate will be required to support or collaborate with Englishspeaking colleagues or stakeholders nationally in our Englishspeaking provinces while at KPMG. KPMG BC Region Pay Range Information The expected base salary range for this position is $75,600 to $114,600 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicants base salary within this range is based on the individuals location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications.
