OverviewThe CAT Rental Store (TCRS) is looking for a Dual Ticket Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanic/Apprentice Electrician to join our amazing team based in Edmonton. You will be responsible for the troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of rental equipment including construction tools, small engine equipment (compaction equipment, pumps to compact construction equipment (e.g. Mini excavators and skid steers), as well as knowledge of diesel generators 8 KW to 200 KW.ResponsibilitiesTroubleshoot, diagnose and repair TCRS fleet of equipmentPerform service tasks on our product line ranging from construction tools, small engine equipment such as compaction equipment, pumps to compact construction equipment (e.g. Mini excavators and skid steers,) aerial workInterfaces with customers in the field on service calls in a courteous, business-like mannerQualifications And ExperienceJourneyperson Heavy Duty MechanicApprentice Electrician Dual Ticket preferredMust possess the technical knowledge to perform service tasks on our product line ranging from construction tools, small engine equipment such as compaction equipment, pumps to compact construction equipment (e.g. Mini excavators and skid steers,) aerial work platform equipment as well as knowledge of diesel generators 8 KW to 200 KWPossesses excellent diagnostic and troubleshooting skills and abilitiesGood understanding of electrical and hydraulic systemsThorough knowledge of gasoline and diesel engine electronic management systemsSafety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detailCompletion of Finning S-Levels, Failure Analysis, Machine Electronic Controls, or Tier 4 training would be considered an assetCompletion of Caterpillar product specific courses would be considered an assetImportant DetailsDue to physical nature of the work, a requirement of the job is to be considered fit for work.Capable of working evening, night shifts as well as performing after hours service calls, weekends inclusiveUnion Membership: You are required to become a member of the Union associated with this position.
