Job Details Location: 1800 Talbot Rd, Windsor, ON N9H 0E3. Status: Permanent PartTime. Role: Registered Practical Nurse (RPN). Hiring Rate: $32.51 per hour. Hold an existing Heart Save Level of CPR. Prioritize tasks effectively, plan and allocate time and effort properly, remaining calm and managing stress appropriately. Deliver safe administration of medication and treatments with a focus on accuracy and quality, meeting residents qualityoflife requests. Follow plans of care or service plans in accordance with the College of Nurses standards and report any changes in residents wellbeing to the charge nurse or village leadership team. Understand relevant policies, procedures, legislation, and regulations applicable to the longterm care sector, including the Fixing LongTerm Care Act, 2021, and the Occupational Health & Safety Act (OSHA) of Ontario. Support and embrace our residentcentred social culture and deliver the highest quality of personal care to residents. Act as a key member of the village and neighbourhood multidisciplinary team to understand residents individual needs, advocate for resident participation in care decisions, support new resident moveins, facilitate transfers to hospital, or address changes in medical needs. Collaborate with the neighbourhood physician during weekly rounds and update care plans and directions accordingly. Demonstrate proficient communication and computer skills to update care plans in the current system. Understand the physical, mental, and emotional demands of the RPN role. Desired Assets MDS credentials. Experience working with people living with dementia. Knowledge of the palliative assessment scale. Comfortable supporting residents and their families during endoflife care. Knowledge of relevant policies, procedures, legislation, regulations and best practices applicable to the retirement and longterm care sector (e.g., RAI processes, CIHI, supplies, equipment ordering, etc.).
