Our growing & well established client in Mississauga, Ontario is looking for an Accountant to process and manage all daily, monthly, quarterly and year end financial transactions. THIS PERSON IS 100% IN-PERSON/IN-OFFICE. MUST LIVE CLOSE TO OR IN MISSISSAUGA. IMPORTANT: This position cannot support anyone looking to work under a CPA/CGA Accountant in order to obtain an Accounting designation. The position is very fasted paced, has a high volume of transactions, and includes hands on processing of all day-to-day postings. Job costing & product management experience is a must. Experience with corporate taxes is also a must-have. To be successful in this role, you will have 5+ years of previous experience with bookkeeping, industry specific ERP systems, strong attention to detail, ability to multi-task and a flair for spotting numerical mistakes. Ultimately, you will provide accurate quantitative information on financial position, liquidity and cash flows of our business, while ensuring we are compliant with all regulations. Responsibilities Manage all accounting transactions: daily, weekly, monthly Full cycle day-to-day accounting postings for accounts payable, accounts receivable and bank postings. Reconcile accounts payable and receivable. Monthly Inventory management: process month end adjustments Group benefits contact: maintain employee setup, adjustments, and cancellations. Bi-weekly payroll processing including calculating commissions payable, WSIB, remittances, processing ROE's, vacation accrual calculations, maintaining attendance records and processing T4s at the end of the year. Order reviews and approvals ensuring all required documents are presented. Accurate Job Costing: ensure all necessary costs are captured on every job including FX calculations. Ensure timely bank payments and audit financial transactions and documents. Compute and file CRA reporting GST/HST monthly. Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements. Publish month end financial statements within company standards. Handle monthly, quarterly and annual closings. Comply with financial policies and regulations, report on the company's financial health and liquidity. Requirements 5+ years of experience in a senior Bookkeeper or in a Senior Accounting role. Experience with job costing and product management (for a marketing printing company), similar to project accounting is a requirement. Must have experience and strong knowledge of Corporate Canadian & US Taxes. Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Hands-on experience with accounting software and industry specific ERP systems. Advanced MS Outlook and Excel skills, including VLOOKUP's and pivot tables. Experience with general ledger functions. Strong attention to detail and good analytical skills. BSc in Accounting, Finance or relevant degree. Salary: $70k to $85k per year to start, based on experience and education background.
