Advantage is seeking a Production Accountant to join our team in Calgary, AB. This position will report to the Team Lead, Production Accounting and can be permanent, full-time OR a consultant. Key Responsibilities: Manage production accounting activities for Montney Basin assets, including gas plants, well sites and batteries based on applicable experience. Ensure accurate measurement, recording, and reporting of production volumes and revenues, adhering to regulatory guidelines. Prepare, reconcile, and maintain marketing accounting revenue workbooks for oil and gas. Enter well test data, oversee inventories, and record sales transactions with precision. Validate, analyze, and communicate volumetric data and product splits to all necessary parties. Contract Interpretation: Interpret contract agreements and flow schematics to ensure adherence to production accounting principles. Collaborate with field operations teams to verify production data and resolve discrepancies. Calculate royalties, taxes, and other financial obligations in compliance with regulatory requirements. EPAP Oversight; Monitor EPAP reports diligently and address any arising issues promptly. Conduct variance analysis and performance metrics to identify operational efficiencies and costsaving opportunities. Maintain uptodate knowledge of industry regulations, accounting standards, and best practices. Project Management: Engage in project work, such as royalty reviews and reruns, to enhance production accounting efficiency. Accounts Receivable; Keep track of accounts receivable and ensure timely clearance to maintain financial integrity. Qualifications and Education Requirements: 5+ years of experience in production accounting within the oil and gas sector. Previous experience working with gas plants, particularly in Alberta. Possession of a CAPPA certificate. Willing to work in a proactive and continuous improvement environment. Advanced technical Excel Skills would be considered an asset. Proficiency in QByte Metrix and Prodview software. Strong communication skills and a dedicated work ethic. Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and independently as needed.
