We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Finance + Payroll Administrator to join our team. This role requires a strong understanding of general accounting principles and Canadian payroll compliance to deliver timely and accurate financial and payroll results. The Administrator must embody PCRs core values and contribute to an inclusive culture. This is currently an existing vacancy. Financial Administration & Reporting Accurately process all Accounts Payable (NetSuite, EFTs, wires, credit cards). Manage customer payments, including deposits and collections follow-up. Prepare and post payroll journal entries (accruals, reversals) for period-end. Support month-end/year-end reporting, reconciliations, and external audits. Investigate and resolve payroll and financial discrepancies. Statutory Compliance & Remittance Calculate, reconcile, and prepare schedules for WSIB and Employer Health Tax (EHT); ensure GL reconciliation. Remit various payroll deductions. Monitor and implement relevant government reporting regulations. Payroll Processing (Bi-Weekly Cycle) Process accurate, timely bi-weekly payroll for all team member types (salaried, hourly, FT, PT, casual). Ensure full Federal and Provincial regulatory compliance. Manage vacation/statutory pay records, payroll changes, and documentation. Handle new hires and terminations in the payroll system. Manage all year-end payroll, including T4s, T4As, and T2200s filing. Coordinate internal/external payroll audits. Processes team member expense reimbursements accurately and in compliance with company policy. Collaborate with the People, Culture + Diversity team on team member changes. Resolve payroll and expense inquiries promptly. Identify and implement process improvements in payroll and controls. Benefits Administration Manage all benefit administration aspects: new-hire enrollment, premium calculation, terminations, and provider reconciliation. Support the annual benefits renewal process. Identify and implement improvements in benefits administration. Skills and Experience A minimum of three years of experience in both payroll and finance. Required experience with Canadian HRIS and Payroll platforms (e.g., Humi HR, Bamboo, Ceridian), including a strong understanding of Canadian payroll legislation. Proficiency in Microsoft and Google Suite applications. Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy. Demonstrated ability to maintain absolute confidentiality. Certified Payroll Designation is considered an asset. Compensation and Benefits The base salary for this position is budgeted between $58,000 and $62,000 CAD, depending on the candidate's skills and experience. After successfully completing the probationary period, the team member will also be eligible to participate in the company's comprehensive benefits plan.
