The Pension Specialist is responsible for supporting and mentoring junior members of the team, handling escalations from Plan Sponsors and Members and ensuring processes are being followed and enhanced for efficiency. This role will also ensure that business is being administered in compliance with regulatory requirements and strives to provide exceptional service to our clients and plan member. How you will create impact: Perform administration of Group Retirement Plans, including Defined Contribution (DC) and Defined Benefit (DB), Deferred Salary Leave Plans (DSLP), Self-Funded Leave Plans (SFLP) and other employer-sponsored retirement plans. Handle escalations and resolve complex issues related to administration and compliance. Interpret and apply regulatory guidelines to maintain compliance with governing bodies. Assist in system testing, implementation of new policies and special projects providing subject matter expertise as required. Provides support on a variety of technical tasks, finance outages, system updates, tax reporting and updating and working with tax specialist on escalations. Act as a senior point of contact for plan sponsors, advisors and internal teams on plan matters. Salary information Expected salary range $60,574 - $100,956 The salary amount for the successful candidate is determined by Co-operators in its discretion and will vary depending on several criteria including but not limited to: local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualification, experience and education.
