Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced GL Application Administrator to join our Enterprise General Ledgers (eGL) team in Toronto. As a key member of our team, you will be a subject matter expert for the PeopleSoft GL architecture and infrastructure, responsible for supporting our portfolio of systems in ongoing business-as-usual (BAU) activities, as well as major system-wide initiatives. What will you do? Provide technical expertise and support for the eGL, including software installation/configuration, infrastructure management, application management, and troubleshooting. Liaise with internal RBC technology teams and external vendors to understand new and emerging technologies and assess their viability in the Finance IT environment. Manage infrastructure components, such as Windows and Linux/Unix servers, NAS, SAN, and other systems. Assist with provisioning and decommissioning infrastructure components and troubleshoot infrastructure problems across multiple environments. Communicate and coordinate major changes and upgrades, review and remediate security vulnerabilities, act as an application administrator for the PeopleSoft GL application, and serve as a bridge between various teams, including application teams, DBAs, and operating system administrators. Review and apply patches to mitigate risk and maintain the health of the environment, and work with the infrastructure team to address application capacity needs. Plan and periodically test Disaster Recovery, and administer, configure, and maintain all environments. Open and manage problem tickets with vendors, and troubleshoot development, test, and production application problems across multiple environments and operating platforms. Must-have 5+ years of infrastructure management experience, including Windows and Unix servers, NAS, SAN, and other systems. Knowledge of DB2 and Oracle databases. Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Excellent collaboration, communication, organizational, and time management skills. Nice-to-have Experience with application management, including PeopleSoft GL. Mainframe z/OS knowledge. Experience with emerging technologies and trends in the Finance Technology space.
