A typical day in the life at WSP for the Project Director: Be part of a Canadian-based firm, applying, coaching and mentoring others with your technical, client delivery and project delivery skills. Maintain a work-life balance, logging in remotely or attending the office in a hybrid work solution of 3 days a week in the office. Clearly identify and define project specific strategies, advising the project team of the project objectives, bringing your ideas and solutions to the team and clients. Be a mentor to others within WSP, sharing your experiences and knowledge. Guided by our Zero Harm policy and rigorous Health, Safety and Environment standards, with your knowledge and experience, reviewing and enhancing project health and safety plans. Participate and be a member of a 10-20 person client-specific delivery team, while at the same time supporting with your experience and expertise to the entire RPM group. Have a really complex technical issue? Engage with a Practice Area Network (PAN) who may have experienced the same issue in Australia, Malaysia, or even exotic locations like Saskatoon. Lead and work on some of the most interesting and technically challenging environmental projects in Western, Eastern and Northern Canada Youre the type of person who has one or more of these qualities: Expertise in BC regulations as they apply to the upstream oil and gas industry. Stops and takes time out of your busy day to help coworkers, especially new team members, understand assignments and help mentor them in their career path. A passion for coaching and mentoring co-workers, helping them to develop the skills youve mastered in environmental consulting. Embraces going to the field to observe site characteristics and boreholes first-hand, taking the opportunity to coach and mentor staff on site your observations and how to interpret site data in real time. Cant get enough learning. Youve got the following minimum qualifications: Bachelors degree in Engineering or Environmental Sciences. Professional designation and Qualified Professional in BC. Expertise in COR Part 1 and Part 2s. 15+ years experience in the environmental industry. Asset to have health and safety training related to the oil and gas industry. Compensation: AB, BC, NT, NU, SK & YK: $132,700 $175,800 MB & ON: $121,100 $166,700 NB, NL, NS, PEI & QC: $119,900 $159,200 Disclosure: The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
