Position Summary: The Senior Manager, Finance, Business and Consumer Markets provides strategic business partnership support to B2G non-capped, B2B and B2C business within LifeLabs Core and new businesses. This includes Government non-capped, Hospital Contracts, Private Pay, Genetics, RMA, Mobile services, and all market expansion opportunities of the General and Advanced Diagnostics business unit. Using analytics and financial modelling to influence and advise, this position provides the business with the data and intelligence to identify opportunities to maximize both the top-line growth and bottom-line margins for existing and new sources of funding / revenue supporting contract renewals and new direct to consumer initiatives. This position will help to support LifeLabs General and Advanced Diagnostics teams by providing recommendations to drive improved business performance and optimal pricing for the RFP contracting processes. This position is responsible for ensuring completion of monthly business unit performance reviews, annual budget and forecast process updates, the 5-year plan and any financial modelling / business cases required to support current and future impacts of opportunities for the delegated business segments. What Youll Do: Provide leadership to team, manage the performance of the team to ensure goals and objectives are met, daily mentorship and support development of all team members. Monthly Business Unit Performance Reviews: Working in conjunction with General Diagnostics, Advanced Diagnostics and consumer portfolio to establish a working partnership and framework to analyze and communicate results of the delegated business units on a monthly basis. Responsible for oversight of the month-end framework including traditional variance analysis, performance monitoring, visual dashboards to measure in-process metrics as well as progress / tracking on the achievement and course corrections of any segment initiatives. Responsible to proactively work with business partners to identify business risks & opportunities and develop risk mitigation recommendations. Lead all financial results communications to senior management. Annual Budget, Forecast Updates and 5-year Plan Development: Lead the processes specific to General Diagnostics, Advanced Diagnostics and consumer portfolio to develop the annual budget, corresponding year to go forecast updates and the annual 5-year financial plan for Life Labs. Support business with the development of long term business strategies through understanding of external and internal environment, build out of assumptions based on internal and market data. Ensure accuracy and validity of financial and business assumptions. Ensure alignment of plans across all stakeholder groups, meaning Commercial and Operations. Lead forecast reviews with BCM Leadership team, VP Commercial Finance and CFO. Analytics and Business Partnerships: Provide financial recommendations, strategic council and information through leverage of analytical frameworks and tools to assist the General Diagnostics, Advanced Diagnostics and Consumer business unit in making data-driven decisions, including pricing activities, new business ventures, new product lines, margin analysis, low volume/margin test rationalization, product divestitures, capital investments, RFP activities for customers, contract negotiations and more broadly any other innovations, strategic initiatives and ad hoc analysis as required to enable business decisions. Support rollout of new businesses including help defining new operations and financial processes as needed. Leverage tools to enable business case development and documentation, inclusive of both capital requirements and investment returns / payback. Identify, develop and implement opportunities to consolidate, standardize and automate processes within the team to deliver more efficient and effective processes and improved performance. Ability to perform ad hoc projects in support of the VP Commercial Finance and CFO. What Youll Bring: Minimum 10 years of experience in the retail, healthcare or complementary industry University Degree in Finance or Accounting Accounting Designation, CPA and / or MBA is preferred Experience working in an environment with a strong operational and regulatory focus (i.e. manufacturing, pharma and Consumer industry), is an asset 3+ years people leadership experience Ability to decipher a contract and convert this to a dynamic financial model Experience in leading financial pricing analysis Experience in supporting business development opportunity including development of financial model for new line of businesses. Exceptional analytical and business planning skills in order to solve problems and research and elevate issues, when necessary Deep understanding of finance processes and data requirements Excellent management presentation capabilities Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, Oracle Cloud, SAP, EPM application suites preferred) Experience working with reporting and data visualization tools such as Power BI. Demonstrated initiative in recognizing efficiencies and implementing process improvement and change initiatives cross-functionally. Strong computer and reporting skills with an advanced proficiency in MS Excel and Word Strong collaborator, ability to work across multiple levels of the organization. Proven ability to develop and maintain effective relationships. Proven ability to provide solutions to stakeholders through strong problem-solving and strategic thinking skills. Proven ability to lead teams, improve engagement and develop talent for the long-term (including successors) Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, with ability to work with a variety of people in a team environment. Proven ability to influence and implement process changes within the team and across the organization.
