Join Our Team as an Assistant Gardener We are currently seeking Assistant Gardener for the 2026 Golf Season to join our Grounds Team. Successful candidates will work alongside an experienced Head Gardener and help maintain the stunning landscapes that make our club a natural retreat. This role is responsible for maintaining Donalda Club''s flower beds and landscaped areas, ensuring they meet our high standards. This includes working across the Golf Course, Clubhouse, and naturalized areas. If you have a keen interest in plants and gardening, this is the perfect opportunity to grow your skills in horticulture We are looking for motivated individuals available full-time from April 2026 (weather dependent) through December 2026 (weather dependent). Our staff continuously strive to exceed expectations and show genuine care for our members, guests, and one another as we work together to create unforgettable service experiences. An Overview of Main Duties and Responsibilities: Garden Maintenance Water, weed, prune, trim, and fertilize to maintain plant health and visual appeal. Assist in Seasonal Planting Help prepare beds and plant annuals, perennials, bulbs, trees, and shrubs for different seasons. New Garden Creations Support the Head Gardener in designing and building new garden spaces. Monitor Plant Health Identify and report any plant health concerns to ensure a thriving landscape. Member Engagement Answer occasional member inquiries about gardening and plant care. Team Collaboration Assist the Grounds Crew when needed to ensure seamless operations. Spring & Fall Cleanup Support in seasonal maintenance tasks such as leaf removal and bed preparation. Job Requirements: High School Diploma (Grade 12) or equivalent (post-secondary horticulture studies are a plus) Practical gardening experience and basic plant knowledge. Comfort working outdoors in all weather conditions. Physically capable lifting, bending, and hands-on gardening are part of the job.
