Curriculum Developer Grade 12 Chemistry (SCH4U, OSSD) Location:Canada (Remote) Employment Type:Part-Time | Contract Job Description Toronto Imperial School is aprivate online school delivering Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) courses in accordance with theOntario Ministry of Education curriculum. We are currently seeking an experiencedCurriculum Developer for Grade 12 Chemistry (SCH4U) to design and update a full OSSD-aligned course for online delivery. This is apart-time, contract-based role focused on curriculum development rather than live classroom teaching. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and update theSCH4U (Grade 12 Chemistry) course in alignment with Ontario Ministry of Education curriculum expectations Create course content in appropriate formats, including: Lesson plans Video content outlines Assessments and evaluation tools Teacher-led session materials Develop comprehensive: Study plans Assessments Supplementary instructional materials Design clear and detailedgrading rubrics to ensure consistency and transparency in student assessment Ensure the course structure includes: 66 total lessons (60 instructional + 6 final evaluation lessons) Final Exam (2 lessons) Culminating Assignment (2 lessons) Alternative Final Evaluation option (2 lessons) Required balance of: Assessment as Learning Assessment for Learning Assessment of Learning Ensure a minimum of10 Assessment of Learning tasks across the course Collaborate closely with theProduct Development team Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities as required Properly reference and include links for all external sources used in course materials Qualifications & Experience Proven experience teaching or developingOSSD Chemistry (SCH4U) Strong familiarity with: Ontario Ministry of Education Curriculum Expectations Growing Success policy Ontario assessment and evaluation guidelines Ability to design structured, clear, and pedagogically sound online learning materials Strong attention to detail and documentation standards Assets: Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) certification Previous experience developing online or blended OSSD courses Eligibility Candidates must belegally eligible to work in Canada Application Questions Do you have experience developing or teaching the OSSD SCH4U (Grade 12 Chemistry) course?
