Pinchin is hiring a Project Technologist in Hazardous Materials & Indoor Environmental Quality in Kenora This position reports directly to the Operations Manager and is being filled as a replacement role. Role Overview In this role you will work closely with the Kenora Pinchin team to help clients maintain healthier indoor spaces. Day to day will involve a mix of work in both the office and in the field at client properties. The role requires outward facing activities such as communication with client representatives, contractors and vendors, working independently to collect environmental samples and site data with the responsibility of preparing professional reports of our activities and findings for a variety technical issues. This is meaningful work with real impact and you will grow your skills while contributing to projects that make buildings and environments better. A Day in the life of a Project Technologist at Pinchin: Conduct site investigations asbestos, mould, mercury, PCBs, lead etc. Conduct field work, including visits to sites and supervise remediation activities Coordinate and supervise sub-contractors Interpret and analyze sample results in relation to legislative requirements and industry-accepted guidelines Prepare technical reports Manage time of projects effectively and efficiently Liaise with clients and sub-contractors to ensure health, safety and hygiene needs are addressed and met Develop and maintain positive client relationships What you bring to the Pinchin team: Entry level to two years of experience Related Post-secondary education andC.E.T. or related designations will be considered an asset Knowledge of environmental and health and safety legislation/guidelines Hazardous Materials, Indoor Environmental Quality, OHS industry experience and familiarity with building systems (structure, envelope, HVAC, electrical, plumbing etc.) considered as asset Experience working with environmental monitoring equipment, reading and interpreting architectural drawings an asset Strong technical report writing, communication, and organizational skills Proficient with Microsoft Office Products Valid driver''s license, insured vehicle, and availability for regional travel, after-hours, and rotational weekends For Current Employees Current employees are encouraged to speak with their HR Advisor for information on the application process.
