The Opportunity Reporting directly to the Manager, Transportation Engineering, this role is responsible for planning, overseeing and leading programs, projects and studies related to sustainable transportation, including transit, cycling and trail initiatives. You will lead the execution of projects and programs that deliver measurable outcomes to increase the use of sustainable transportation for commuting purposes, reduce traffic congestion and support environmental, health and economic benefits for the community. You will be responsible for coordinating initiatives, engaging stakeholders and delivering studies, policies and programs that advance the Town''s sustainable transportation objectives. As the Project Manager, Sustainable Transportation, you will perform the following duties, including but not limited to: Lead, manage and support sustainable transportation infrastructure and promotional initiatives, including planning, design, implementation, performance monitoring and reporting Coordinate and oversee the Town''s transit services, plans and initiatives, and liaise with public transit agencies and government partners Develop policies, plans and programs to expand mobility choices beyond private vehicles, including cycling, transit and trail use Engage with stakeholders, Council, residents, community groups and external partners to promote and advance sustainable transportation initiatives Prepare scopes of work, terms of reference, reports and presentations, and manage consultants supporting transportation engineering projects The Ideal Candidate We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable professional with a post-secondary degree in Transportation Engineering, Transportation Planning, Urban Planning, Environmental Planning or a closely related field. Our ideal candidate has a minimum of five (5) years of demonstrated experience in sustainable transportation, transportation engineering or transit planning, including co-op or Engineering Intern Training experience, and is registered with a recognized professional engineering or planning organization. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience delivering sustainable and active transportation initiatives within a multidisciplinary environment. We are seeking an individual with superior communication skills, a demonstrated ability to manage projects, consultants and stakeholders, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. The successful candidate for Project Manager, Sustainable Transportation will be required to work a flexible schedule, including in the office, remotely and after hours (as required). This position offers a salary range of $106,444.72 to $133,055.90 plus a competitive benefit package.
