Civil Project Manager The Civil Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing our civil projects on multiple sites in northern remote communities and local project sites. This role is primarily office-based and supports field execution by managing schedules, coordinating crews and equipment, tracking progress, controlling costs, and ensuring safe, high-quality project delivery. The Civil Project Manager will work closely with project teams and internal departments to ensure civil crews are properly resourced and supported to meet targets and contract requirements. Responsibilities Plan and manage civil construction projects across multiple locations, ensuring timelines, budgets, and project requirements are met. Develop project schedules, sequencing plans, and daily/weekly work priorities for field crews. Review scope, drawings, specifications, and contract requirements to ensure accurate execution. Plan equipment requirements and coordinate with the Equipment Department to ensure the right equipment is on project sites. Coordinate workforce allocation and crew assignments for multiple, active project sites. Ensure that all equipment is being maintained and serviced properly. Track daily logs and maintenance reports and view all related incidents or concerns. Anticipate risks and constraints (weather, access, logistics, material delays) and adjust plans accordingly. Maintain project schedules and adjust when required to ensure completion in accordance with the contract and project milestones. Provide direct support to foremen and site supervisors by coordinating work plans, deliveries, and equipment movement. Ensure crews are equipped with the correct materials, tools, and equipment before mobilizing to remote job sites. Communicate daily with field teams to monitor progress, resolve issues, and support productivity. Coordinate travel, mobilization, accommodations, and logistics required for work in northern communities. Assist with progress billing, job closeout, and turnover documentation. Prepare short interval plans, look-ahead schedules, and resource forecasts. Support quality control efforts, helping identify issues early and ensuring rework is minimized Requirements 5+ years of experience in civil construction project management, coordination, or supervision. Strong knowledge of civil scope such as earthworks, grading, excavation, road building, drainage, water/sewer, underground utilities and site servicing and prep work. Experience supporting crews across multiple job sites and managing competing priorities. Ability to read and interpret drawings, specifications, and civil construction scopes. Strong understanding of construction scheduling, budgeting, and cost control. Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word); scheduling or project software experience is an asset. Valid driver''s license. Ability to travel to remote northern communities as required. Knowledge of safety standards and field requirements. Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to support and direct field teams. Highly organized and comfortable managing multiple moving parts at once. Practical, solution-focused problem solving. Strong attention to safety, production, and quality outcomes. Calm under pressure and able to adapt to changing site conditions. Working Conditions Primarily office-based with frequent communication with multiple active job sites. Regular travel to northern/remote communities for site visits, startup support, or issue resolution. Must be able to work flexible hours during peak construction season to support field operations.
