Job Title

We require 1 candidate to fill a General Laborer role. Wage will be relative to certificates, tickets and experience. This position assists with construction and maintenance projects within the west district. The successful candidate will possibly mowers and use a variety of tools. This position requires the ability to lift 50 lbs. and be able to work in adverse conditions independently at times and should have good decision-making abilities. You must be available for emergency repairs. You will be working on construction projects that include pipeline construction, concrete construction and road and canal repairs Duties may include: Experience with the repair and maintenance of water management structures. Valid Class 5 Operators license Complete all required safety certifications Basic emergency response training including ICS 100 is an asset but can be trained Work under a variety of extreme weather conditions (out in the field) Ability to work individually or in a team setting Proficiency in Microsoft Office Basic computer skills able to complete online maintenance and safety reports and payroll application software. Knowledge and skills relating to irrigation construction as well as experience with operating canals & buried pipeline systems would be an asset.
