Location: 30 Westwyn Court, Brampton, ON L6T 4T5 Employment Type: Full-time, permanent Wage: $38.00 per hour Hours: 40 hours per week (day shift) Vacancies: 1 Start Date: As soon as possible Workplace Type: On-site only Job Summary Advanced Metal Shop Ltd. is seeking a skilled, experienced Welder to join our structural and miscellaneous metals fabrication shop in Brampton, Ontario. The successful candidate will perform high-quality welding on steel components used in commercial and industrial projects, following blueprints, shop drawings, and safety standards. Key Duties and Responsibilities Read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and welding symbols Set up, operate, and maintain welding equipment Perform MIG and/or stick welding on structural steel and miscellaneous metal components Weld steel components to required specifications and tolerances Inspect completed welds for quality, strength, and accuracy Use measuring tools and layout equipment to ensure proper fit Grind, clean, and finish welded joints as required Work with foremen and fabrication team to meet production deadlines Follow all workplace health and safety procedures Maintain a clean and organized work area Perform basic equipment maintenance and troubleshooting Requirements Minimum 5 years of shop welding experience Experience welding structural steel and miscellaneous metals Ability to read and interpret blueprints and shop drawings Experience with MIG and stick welding processes Ability to pass a weld test Strong attention to detail and quality Ability to work independently and as part of a team Physically able to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods Trades certificate or equivalent experience is an asset Languages English Benefits Stable, long-term employment Competitive hourly wage Overtime opportunities available Supportive shop environment Only candidates legally eligible to work in Canada will be contacted for interviews.
