Company Perks and Rewards Competitive pay rate $80K-$95K Excellent company culture Bonus and vacation and perks Hybrid work 4 days in office The Job As the Senior Accountant, you will assist the Controller with ad-hoc accounting and administrative tasks. You will be responsible for the following: Prepare routine and complex journal entries to record financial transactions Prepare financial statements, dashboards, budgets, and other reports for clients of varying size and complexity Analyze and determine proper accounting treatment for unusual or non-recurring transactions Review and approve payments and invoices prepared by the Accounts Payable Specialist Review accounting entries recorded by the Accounts Payable Specialist Perform and/or review monthly bank and credit card reconciliations Review and process expense reports, ensuring completeness and accuracy of supporting documentation Review payroll registers and assist with payroll matters for corporate and individual clients Prepare, reconcile, or review quarterly HST and WSIB filings and payments Perform complex accounting tasks and financial analysis as requested What you bring to the job You are self-motivated, detail-driven, and capable of improving processes and adding value. You also come with: 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a professional services or family office environment Ideal industries-family office, legal, professional services, public accounting.
