Your impact Deliver a personalized, inclusive and elevated care experience in a collaborative and a multidisciplinary environment Bring an honest and supportive approach to our patients by providing accurate and relevant health education using evidence-based practice Be a critical member of our care team and practice in accordance with the code of ethics and standards set out by the BCCNM, CFAS, and Twig Fertility Find new opportunities and efficiencies for our clinic and our patients through time management, prioritization and critical thinking Your responsibilities Proven understanding, participation and performance of Registered Nurse responsibilities (see below) Daily workflow & scheduling coordination Direct staff supervision and support of nursing group Patient flow and care coordination facilitation Onboarding and mentorship Management of clinical inventory Documentation auditing and reporting Performance observation and feedback First-line conflict resolution Work closely with the Nurse Manager Registered Nurse responsibilities Communicate with patients in person, via phone, email, and patient portal to provide accurate medical instructions and respond to patients'' questions and/or concerns Provide early pregnancy care and counselling Perform preoperative care of patients - IV initiation, medication administration, preoperative assessment Act as a scrub nurse in the procedure room (egg retrievals) Act as a circulating nurse in the procedure room - Administration of IV sedation, continuous patient monitoring Conduct recovery room care and discharge teaching Perform IUI procedures Assist with endometrial biopsies, embryo transfer, and sperm retrieval procedures As a Nurse Team Lead, you are: An excellent communicator with a high degree of emotional intelligence and professionalism Comfortable delivering bad news or sharing sensitive information Committed to providing person-centered, LGBTQ inclusive, trauma-informed care A proven leader among the nursing team Able to set goals and motivate others to perform and achieve them Empathetic and understand how to build trust and rapport with your team and patients Someone who is not afraid to voice their opinion, challenge ideas (including your own), and have tough conversations Resourceful, inquisitive and know how to find the information that you need Detail oriented with strong organizational skills Passionate about the patient experience, fertility care, and reproductive health Your experience RN - BScN degree Current BCCNM registration in good standing Current CNA registration with LAP Minimum 3 years recent nursing experience Fertility experience a significant asset Completed perioperative, peri-anesthesia, or critical care nursing program a significant asset BLS & ACLS certification an asset SEPSA or equivalent conscious sedation course an asset Preferred - member of CFAS, CFAS-NSIG Your schedule Monday-Friday 7:00AM-3:00PM Every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday 7:00AM-3:00PM) Holidays as needed Perks and Benefits At Twig we prioritize exceptional care for our patients and employees alike.
