LOCATION: Edmonton POSITION TYPE: Part-time or Full-time POSITION OVERVIEW: As a Bartender, you''ll be at the centre of the action - the heart of the guest experience, crafting drinks with precision, personality, and speed. Beyond pouring drinks, you''ll ensure the bar stays clean, stocked, and comply with ProServe and AGLC regulations. Comfortably initiate conversations and interactions with guests, exuding warmth and confidence in every interaction. Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask while maintaining efficiency and attention to detail Stay organized in fast-paced settings while actively contributing as a team player. Exhibit excellent communication abilities, whether conveying information effectively or actively listening and responding to team members and guests. Adapt quickly to changing guest needs, shift priorities, and operational demands.. Handle physical demands including lifting and reaching, regularly lifting objects up to 25 pounds such as full full kegs, liquor crates, etc. Ability to calmly handle guest concerns or manage difficult situations, including de-escalating conflicts when needed Ability to maintain accuracy in measurements, recipes, and alcohol limits even during high-volume periods Quickly adapt to changing service demands and shift priorities while maintaining a positive attitude. Comfortably work on foot for extended periods, showcasing stamina and resilience in bustling restaurant settings. Handle physical demands including lifting and reaching, regularly lifting objects up to 50 pounds such as kegs, bending to serve food, and reaching to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction. Must possess valid ProServe certification or be willing to obtain prior to first shift. DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Create exceptional guest experiences through friendly, attentive, and efficient service Accurately take food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS Follow all steps of service in accordance with Hudsons standards Educate guests about our diverse drink selection, assisting them in choosing the perfect beverage to complement their experience. Provide basic guidance on arcade game operation and recommend popular choices to enhance guest enjoyment. Share the origins and flavors of our authentic international street food options, adding depth to the dining experience. Maintain a high level of accuracy and honesty in cash handling and POS transactions Assist with opening and closing duties, including restocking, cleaning, and setup Prepare and serve cocktails, beer, and other beverages with speed, accuracy, and style Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar, tools, and glassware Assist with stock rotation and expiry checks, and promptly communicate low inventory or ordering needs. Maintain a high level of accuracy and honesty in cash handling and POS transactions Collaborate with team members to keep service smooth, efficient, and fun Check guest ID when required and monitor guest behaviour to ensure safe alcohol consumption and compliance with AGLC and ProServe standards. Assist with monthly inventory, restocking, and daily bar prep as needed AVAILABILITY REQUIREMENTS This role requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays. Typical shifts range between 48 hours and may extend into late night hours.
