The Opportunity: We are seeking a passionate, collaborative, and certified Elementary Teacher to join our team. In this role, you will create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment that fosters a love of learning and supports the development of the whole child - academically, socially, and emotionally. Key Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons aligned with the Ontario. Cultivate a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom community that honours student diversity, Indigenous perspectives, and the principles of Equity and Inclusive Education. Utilize a variety of assessment for, as, and of learning strategies to evaluate student progress, provide meaningful feedback, and guide instructional planning. Implement effective classroom management strategies that promote respect, responsibility, and a positive learning climate. Integrate digital literacy and educational technology (e.g., G-Suite for Education, Brightspace, etc.) to enhance student learning. Foster strong, respectful partnerships with parents/guardians through regular communication, conferences, and involvement in the school community. Collaborate actively with colleagues, learning resource teachers, educational assistants, and administration within a Professional Learning Community (PLC) model. Participate in professional development and school-based initiatives (e.g., Math Talks, Science of Reading, Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) programs). Qualifications & Requirements: Required: Bachelor of Education degree from an accredited university. Valid certification in good standing from the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) . Strong understanding of provincial curriculum, pedagogies, and the Growing Success assessment and evaluation framework (or provincial equivalent).
