It has been a record breaking season and we are looking for 2-4 people to help us finish off this winter season as a ''Walks Warrior'' Winter position can lead to full time in the spring. SUMMARY: A snow removal professional is responsible for performing a variety of work tasks to complete snow removal on commercial sites. A worker will be required to operate a variety of tools and equipment to carry out specified job tasks. RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES Responsible for tracking hours (timesheets) Workdays Irregular hours Flexible availability for on-call duty, often including early mornings, evenings, nights, and weekends Potential 1214-hour shifts depending on the workload created by weather conditions. Perform other labouring duties such as loading materials, general cleaning, and assisting with other site needs, especially in a municipal context. Snow and Ice Removal Operate various equipment including, shovels, snow blowers, ride on equipment Apply de-icing agents such as salt/sand to control accumulations on sidewalks/parking lots Aid in the loading and unloading of trucks. Conduct daily inspections (tools and equipment. Work as a team with other staff members to complete assigned tasks, respect and communicate with each other according to company expectations. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times. Be available for communication during shifts and accurately document site service records, including times, services performed, and weather conditions.
