Benefits: Flexible schedule About the Role: We are seeking a compassionate, patient, and engaging Developmental Support Worker or Caregiver to support a young male client with autism . The client experiences social anxiety and is looking for someone who can help him build confidence and enjoy social and recreational activities in the community. Responsibilities: Engage the client in enjoyable community outings and activities such as: Going to the movies, the mall, or the arcade Grabbing a tea or coffee and chatting Supporting participation in leisure and social activities Provide gentle encouragement and emotional support to help reduce social anxiety. Promote independence, social skills, and a positive self-image through meaningful interactions. Maintain professionalism, respect, and confidentiality at all times. Qualifications: Experience or education in Developmental Services, Personal Support Worker, Social Work, Psychology, nursing or a related field preferred. Previous experience supporting individuals with autism or social anxiety. Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills. Reliable, patient, and compassionate. Ability to meet client at Eaton Centre Downtown, 2-3 times a week, 1pm-5pm (preferably Tuesdays & Thursdays) Current First Aid/CPR and Vulnerable Sector Check required.
