This position will be primarily based out of our Cranston (SE Calgary) location, but the flexibility to work out of our Meadows Mile (SE Calgary) location would be extremely valuable. As both of our locations are open evenings and weekends, availability for some evening and Saturday shifts will be required. Your Role: Assist optometrists by quickly and efficiently take patient''s medical histories, imaging, and measurements, while keeping patients comfortable. Instill eye drops for patients. Training patients on proper contact lens insertion and removal techniques. Contribute to business growth by completing administrative tasks and related tasks as needed, i.e. ordering pharmaceuticals, contact lenses, etc. Scribing. Provide basic coverage at reception desk during the lunch hour and/or busy times. Sanitization of patient areas and light cleaning. Your Compensation Package: Competitive hourly rate based on experience, with annual compensation reviews based on performance. After probationary period: bonus profit-sharing opportunities, health spending account, RRSP matching + annual bonus. Skills & Qualifications: All eye care-related experience will be considered an asset, though our ideal candidate will have 2 years of pretest/technician experience. We are willing to train the right individual. Optical sales experience considered a strong asset, but not mandatory. Strong verbal & written communication skills. Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask. Ability to learn new software (EMR programs), though experience with Visual Eyes software would be ideal. Communicative; must be able to easily engage with patients, and quickly relay information to our staff and doctors.
